About Derrick Biggs

I am a husband, father, US Air Force Veteran, devoted Christian, and martial arts enthusiast. My professional career spans over 21 years starting as a military officer. Since 2012, I’ve gained experience in B2B, B2C, and nonprofit sales and marketing, operations, business strategy, training, and community engagement, and have applied my experiences in a variety of coaching relationships over the years. In 2018, I joined a large home services franchisor as a corporate Marketing Director where I have supported over 500 franchise owners ranging from $600K to $40M+ in annual revenue across electrical, handyman, glass, and garage door service verticals. I am also a small business owner, with a startup fitness franchise in downtown Central Texas. My passion is helping other business owners understand and implement the systems that make their companies more efficient, so they can grow wealth while having time for the people and things that matter most to them.

What is your coaching philosophy?

It’s important to have a guiding strategy to drive the direction of your business. This keeps your mind clear and unhelpful emotions out of important decisions. My clients and I start with an understanding of their financial position, challenges, and opportunities. We’ll develop short-term (one-year) and long-term (three- to five-year) goals with key milestones to maintain accountability. Then, together we’ll define business objectives that will guide activities across priority areas such as operations, recruiting, training, marketing, sales, systems, or logistics. I will inspire and equip, believe in and cheer for my clients… and in return, I ask for their commitment, courage, and energy to make great things happen!
